NOTE: It is not necessary to "Stream" your videos if all you want is to securely deliver videos. You can use just S3 as the source and use the "Standard Video Player" or "Standard Audio Player". And if you wish to speed that up even more, use CloudFront and the Standard player.
Streaming Video or Streaming Audio is necessary ONLY if you want to make it such that your video or audio cannot be downloaded at all by anyone, and can ONLY be watched/listened to on your website alone.
Prepare for Video Streaming
Click on this if your video has a standard, YouTube-size 16:9 aspect ratio (looks like a proper rectangular, and not like a square).
When you click on this "Prepare for Video Streaming" next to a video file below, the mp4 file will be split up into many "segments" (chunks) and turned into a "stream". So a single mp4 file could turn into 10 or 20 or more files (depending on many factors, including size and length of your video).
The main one will have a the .m3u8 extension (called the "Playlist"), and the actual videos turn into multiple .ts files.
So even if someone downloaded them all, it would not be easy for them to assemble all of those pieces, and play it as one video.
But S3MediaVault takes this to the next level with AES 128-bit Encryption of your video.
So all of the video chunks are encrypted, and can only play through the S3MediaVault video player on your website.
So even if someone someone managed to download them all and put them all together using some specialized video tool, it would still not play for them, because the chunks are encrypted.
And that's how S3MediaVault's AES 128-Bit Encrypted HLS Video Streaming is the most secure way to play a video only on your website, such that no one can ever download them.
Prepare 4:3
Click on "(Prepare 4:3) link if your video has a 4:3 aspect ration (looks closer to being a square, than a proper rectangle). Everything else remains the same as above.
