Expiration based on Date is globally applied to all users combined. So it will expire for all users at the set Date/Time.

If you want a shortcode to expire on a certain Date & Time, then enter that date and time here.

Eg., let's say you have a Video and you want it to be available only until midnight on 12/31/2020. And starting Jan 1st, it should no longer be available to watch.

Then set the date to be 01/01/2021 and set the time to be 12:00 AM. That's the early, early morning of Jan 1st. And that's when the video will expire.

So basically it will be available to watch until 11:59 on Dec 31st.

It's the same concept whether it's a Video, Audio, PDF, etc.

NOTE: Set it to "12-31-9999" if you never want it to expire, or if you want to reset it to its default (which is "12-31-9999") and use the "Expiration by View" option.
